P. Some people are just thoughtless slobs...others had some poor upbringing...I guess you should be thankful that Mr. Sandusky of Penn State U infamy is not a member of your CAC. JCC. 5/15/12

This blog post reminded me of my personal experiences with the CAC. I was a member there very briefly but then I dropped out because I just wasn't all that comfortable with seeing many of my coworkers in the shower. I once worked at a State Agency that's housed close to the CAC. In addition to that weird energy, I find gym locker rooms and showers to be some of the most uncomfortable places on the planet- and this from someone who has traveled through some pretty dirty and polluted places in the developing world. It's a little off-puting to deal with guys that don't believe in covering themselves with a towel as they walk around the locker room or if one doesn't have a blow dryer, there are the guys who dry off their privates over the electric fan. This is why I only use the gym locker for storage and to get water- I'm in and out of there like lightning.

But you did allude to the lobbyists and politicos who frequent the joint (the CAC was one of two places where I actually saw our previous Governor in person-he was all head and torso) and in reading your blog- we could put together some political commentary. From reading this blog, we could deduce that that the higher echelons of our State's political class pleasures themselves with hair dryers while clearing their throats in the shower and then proceeding to dump their towels on the ground. Maybe this commentary could be extrapolated to our state's political and economic situation- a narcissistic political class that comforts and pleasures themselves while soiling the state with their actions. If the previous sentence was worded into a Field Poll question to California voters, a majority would probably agree.

I remember Jim Vanderhill and was impressed not only with his shooting but his ability to detect defenders trying to sneak up on his blind side. He was inspirational.
